“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:2
Each school day begins with Holy Mass (contingent upon Priest availability) or the Holy Rosary. Throughout the school year, students and faculty participate together in Catholic Devotions.
STMA encourages our students to be open to vocation discernment. Priesthood and Consecrated life are upheld as worthy and admirable states of life, according to God's Will for each student. Since 1994, some former STMA students have become priests, sisters, and consecrated women. Many students have also gone on to give 1 to 2 years of service to the Church through missionary work.
Students are required to earn twenty-two credits in order to graduate from St. Thomas More Academy. Upon graduation, STMA seniors will have completed the following course of studies:

STMA students consistently score above the state & national average in the ACT-MME testing which is administered annually. In 2014 our school's average ACT score was a 26.9. The state of Michigan's average score was a 20.1.
The state of Michigan sets benchmark scores to show the minimum score needed on an ACT subject-area test to indicate a 50% chance of obtaining a B or higher in the corresponding credit-bearing college courses, which include English, Composition, Algebra, Social Science, and Biology. When the 2014 scores were tabulated in all 4 subject matters, the state average for meeting college readiness benchmarks was 22%. The average STMA score for college readiness benchmarks was 78%.
So the answer is yes, STMA grads are academically prepared for college. But we aren't content with simply preparing our students for academic success. The spiritual and human formation of an STMA student is equally important and is treated as such. Daily Mass, monthly confession, and weekly Adoration prepares our students for the future, both here on earth and for the hereafter.
